AniLog® - News Archive 2010

December 2010 - National Overseas Animal Charity on AniLog® Trial

December 2010 - WebEx Web Conferencing Meetings for AniLog®

We have made great use of WebEx conference meetings for AniLog® demonstrations with more than half a dozen animal shelter charities recently. It is really efficient, productive and reduces the need for travel not just from our perspective but also from the charities. If an animal welfare organisation has more than one site each can take part in the conference without the need to leave their office!

WebEx is easy to set up and allows for great interaction with all "attendees" being given an online demo of AniLog® and plenty of opportunity for Q&A throughout.

Feedback from animal charities who have taken part so far has been excellent and they could clearly see the benefits to all concerned.

March 2010 - The National Animal Welfare Trust

The National Animal Welfare Trust or the NAWT as they are also known, are the latest multi site animal welfare organisation to choose the web based AniLog® Animal Welfare Management Software system for use on a daily basis within their organisation. We have worked with them very closely to seemlessly transfer their existing animal contact database to ensure a smooth transition for them. We are very grateful to the NAWT for allowing us to make this official announcement and look forward to working with them in the months and years ahead as we add new features and functionality.

February 2010 - Free Charity Seminar - Twitter & Search Engine Optimisation

Innov8ive Software® arranged and hosted a completely free seminar in the boardroom at Festival House for registered charities on Friday 5th February 2010.  We recognised that many organisations would like to harness the full potential of Twitter and social networking in general to raise awareness of their charity but required more information not just to set up their accounts but maintain them as well. The seminar was attended not just by AniLog® users but other animal welfare charities and non animal organisations with a national presence. The presentation from BPE Solicitors who are members of the Charity Law Association, on legal issues to be aware of including copyright infringement, damage to reputation and cyber squatting etc which all the delegates found extremely valuable.

Mike Payton of TAP Business Development created an excellent course the main topic being Twitter, from setting a page, connecting with followers to Twitterquette!   After a buffet lunch this was followed by a seminar on effective website organic search engine optimisation with the emphasis on how to keep a site active and therefore enhance search engine rankings. One way to do this is to incorporate your Twitter feed or blog within your website.

All those attending were at various stages of using social networking tools which was advantageous especially whilst networking with each other and during Q&A sessions with the presenters.

This was the first of a series of free seminars for charities to attend throughout 2010 with a different topic relevant to their needs and suggestions have already been put forward for the next one!
