ADCH Update - May 2009
The AniLog™ Animal Welfare Management Solution was extremely well received by all the animal charity delegates who visited our stand at this year’s Association of Dogs and Cats Homes conference in Dublin. AniLog™ is an animal charity software system for use by animal shelters and animal re-homing charities and records the life of the new arrival from even before admission through to finding a new home and beyond.
A huge thank you to all the ADCH delegates that visited our stand and took the opportunity of having a full demonstration – the positive reaction was extremely gratifying particularly for the development team who are incredibly proud of AniLog™. It has been updated since the conference and there are some new complementary features that you requested nearing completion including full veterinary functionality.
AniLog™ has been extensively beta site tested by several member charities of the ADCH and we are very grateful for their continued support. By liaising closely with them and other charities we are delivering a much needed animal database that is state of the art but easy to use, modern, virtually paperless and delivers functions that you actually require. Therefore the whole software system is utilized - you are not paying for something that is not needed in order to gain access to just a few of its features.
Critical to the success of AniLog™ is that it is accessible to all animal welfare organisations and that meant at an affordable price that was all inclusive with no hidden extras such as support and updates etc.
The licence cost is per site not per user and our other decision was that it was unfair to charge by how small or large a charity was in terms of revenue – this had been another aspect that was mentioned frequently at the 2008 conference.
From member’s enthusiastic response we know that we have delivered on that point in particular – quite a few of you said that you thought it would have been more!
On a bit of a final fun note I’m sure that many of you would like to know that Biscuit the dog arrived home safe and well (although a bit cramped inside a suitcase). He will be arriving by car in Jersey next year as he cost an excess baggage amount of £160.00 – someone did cheekily suggest at Birmingham that I could leave him behind as it would be cheaper to buy another one in Dublin...................I will leave you to work out who that might have been!
